It looks as though the meals served during lunches in our nation's schools will be improving from a nutritional standpoint this Fall. Both national chefs and the retail foodservice industry are going to be involved in reshaping what our nation's students eat during their school lunches. These new programs stem from the childhood obesity issue that has been plaguing our nation's youth increasingly over the last few decades.



First Lady Michelle Obama is an outspoken advocate for programs designed to combat the childhood obesity problem. Current stats indicate that one in three American children are now obese. This is not a healthy outlook for the future.
